This was just a little doodle that spawned into a full color drawing. The two are looking for a neighbor's "lost" cat. And I know it looks like they're in the middle of the woods, but the person's property is bordered by the woods. (Sure, lets go with that.) I kinda modeled it after my own neighborhood, where you run into a deer or bear more often than your neighbors.

Well, the trees just fit the scene better. Building-a-phobia might have had something to do with it though... >>;
Thanks! I don't ink the backgrounds so that they don't distract from the main focus of the picture. Colored pencil for backgrounds work really well for comic panels.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
A collection of the most beautiful and amazing square photographs I found among my favourites. Please have a look and give these artists the attention they deserve!
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More

only way to get better is practice though!
very cool designs (punk-style Ron?), and i'm digging the inkless trees in the back, like a stylistic focus blur!
only thing i can say "negatively" though... they only have 1 foot each.
